Models
Tormek offers two models, the powerful T-7 with a 250 mm (10") grindstone and the compact T-3 with a 200 mm (8") grindstone.
The T-7 has a strong 3 mm (1/8" steel) housing and the T-3 housing is shock proof ABS plastic. The T-7 is design for the toughest work and can run continuously without overheating. The T-3 is designed for 30 min operation per hour.
With the T-3 you get access to the Tormek high quality sharpening system at a favourable price and it is ideal for sharpening woodworking hand tools, knives and scissors.
We recommend the T-7 when sharpening planer blades in the SVH-320 attachment and moulding knives in the SVP-80 attachment. The T-7 is also the most suitable for HSS turning tools and other hard materials since its bigger motor can cope with a higher grinding pressure.
Both models have a powerful industrial motor and stainless steel hardware plus they are in all details built to Tormek’s high quality standards. Both are covered by a 7 year warranty which includes commercial use on the T-7.
The T-7 and the T-3 use the same range of grinding jigs and accessories. The T-7 is shown throughout this presentation.
