Update-

Never mind.  I did find a link the next day.  I did not scroll down to the very bottom of the page.

 Hey Robbo-

The link to the instructions seems to be dead.  Does anyone have a link to the BGM-100 setup instructions?  I'm about ready to setup a 8" grinder with the BGM-100 for reshaping and I seem to have misplaced the original instructions that were in the box on how to measure the grinder and make a mount.  I don't see it online.

Thanks,

Dave

I am rebuilding my sharpening center to include a Tormek T7 wet grinder. And re-purposing my 8" dry grinder/Wolverine sharpening system for just reshaping tools.

My question for the forum:

Has anyone worked out the settings on the Tormek for a 1/2" John Jordan gouge? I thought I came close, but the performance with use on the lathe was much different than what it was when I first purchased the gouge from John.

I've seen "hints" in various forums that the Jordan gouge grind is very similar to the Elsworth grind. (Irish Grind?) But having never seen/handled a Elsworth gouge I'm not sure if I could use those "modded" settings mentioned by others that are somewhat outside of the suggested gouge settings in the Tormek manual.

I posed this question on the AAW website tonight, and very quickly John actually responded.  He said he didn't know of any specific settings. With the popularity of his tools I would think I'm not the first Tormek user to wonder about this.

Has anyone had any experience in setting up a Tormek T7 for grinding a Jordan gouge?

Thanks,

Dave
