Terms and Conditions for Ecommerce


These Terms & Conditions shall apply to all sales through Tormek and will exclude application of any deviating general or specific conditions or terms of buyer. No waiver or modification of these Conditions of Sale shall be binding upon Tormek, unless approved in writing by an authorized representative of Tormek. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

Company information

Tormek AB is a producer of sharpening machines and accessories. On the website www.tormek.com we sell our products according to Swedish law and regulations, as stated by the Distans- och hemförsäljningslagen (Lag (2005:59). The company is registered in Sweden.

The prices displayed for “private customer” includes the statutory Swedish Tax (25%) for sales within the European Union (“EU”). The prices displayed for “company” are shown excluding tax (0%). A business/company shall have a valid VAT Number. If not Tormek have the right the cancel the order.

These terms are subject to changes in price, VAT adjustments, currency changes, typos, realization, campaigns, errors in stock balance, etc. The applicable product price is the one stated at the order confirmation.


Tormek web shop uses Stripe for all payments. For such payments Stripe’s terms will apply. Stripe accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express payments. Read more at www.stripe.com.


The delivery time is stated in the shopping cart. If a service/product has another delivery time than expressed in the shopping cart, this delivery time will be stated in connection to the individual services/products.

In case Tormek has reason to question buyer's solvency or ability to pay for delivered products, Tormek have no obligation to make delivery, and shall be entitled to stop products under carriage.

Tormek is not responsible for potential disagreements, delays, or similar cases that may arise after the order has left the Tormek warehouse and been handed over to the shipping agent.

Unclaimed packages

Unclaimed packages will be returned to us. For all unclaimed packages you will be debited all fees in connection with the return delivery.

Return Policy

Tormek return period is 14 days.

Tormek shall, if under the jurisdiction of our return policy, refund you what you have paid for the product and/or service as soon as possible, but latest within 30 days of the product being returned or you inform us of wanting to return a service. You are oblige to pay for the return delivery of the product.

You do not qualify for our return policy if:

  • The service you have bought was commenced with your consent during the return period.
  • The price of the service purchased fluctuates with the financial market (ie Stock options).
  • Due to the physical nature of the service, it is not returnable.
  • The seal of authentication of the product has been broken/opened.

When returning a product:

  • You are obliged to keep the product in the same condition as when delivered.
  • You must not have used the product, however you have the right to investigate the condition the product was in when delivered. If damage or harm is caused to a product while investigated the product does not qualify for the return policy.

Special offers:

In special offers the return period is 30 days and you have the right to test and use the product and still return it to us and receive a refund. Please note that you are obliged to pay the shipping cost for the return of the product and send it in original Tormek packaging. The return cost from Great Britain is approximately £60. When rules for “Special Offers” applies it is stated when making the purchase in the shopping cart.

Returning products

Returning a product is to be done on your expense, unless the product is faulty or damaged upon delivery. Returned products are to be sent as postal packages.

To return a product, please contact order@tormek.se to receive information about where to send the return. The return period is counted from the day you received the purchased the full, or a significant part of the product.


7 years. When used for a professional sharpening service the warranty is 2 years.

Privacy Policy

When ordering a product, you will be asked to fill in your personal information. Upon purchase you agree to this information is stored in accordance with Tormek's privacy policy in order to fulfil our agreement to you as our customer. In accordance to the Swedish law of Personuppgiftslagen (198:204) you have the right to know the information Tormek have registered about your person. If the information is erroneous, incomplete or irrelevant, you may ask to have your information corrected and/or removed. If this is the case, please contact us by e-mail.

Force Majeure

Tormek is not liable for any non-performance caused by circumstances beyond our control, which directly or indirectly prevents, obstructs or renders production, delivery or freight uneconomical until such obstacle has been removed (force majeure). Such circumstances shall be deemed to include difficulties to procure raw materials as well as other difficulties and disturbances, including but not limited to war, riot, labour conflicts, fire, flood, storm, accident, fuel or power shortages, transportation shortages, obstacles or interruptions regarding transportation at sea and breakdowns or interruptions of any kind as regards to our equipment or facilities, which are deemed necessary for the performance of our agreements' obligations.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Swedish law and any dispute shall be settled in a Swedish public court.
