Accessory for Tormek T-2 Pro Kitchen Knife Sharpener for sharpening round knife blades. Available from autumn 2021. Availability may vary from market to market.
Gyro-cutter, kebab knife or shawarma slicer − whatever you call it, it's time to make it sharp again! The RBS-140 Round Blade Sharpening Attachment fits most blade models for your round-blade electric knife. The accessory is specially designed and only fits the Tormek T-2 Pro Kitchen Knife Sharpener, which removes a minimum amount of steel and gives you a professionally sharpened blade in no time.
With the RBS-140 Round Blade Sharpening Attachment, you no longer have to send your round knife blades away to be professionally sharpened. You also prevent them from becoming dull or damaged after honing on a whetstone, which results in varied bevel angles over the blade. Instead, you get a professionally sharpened blade in no time, with the same angle around the entire blade. Your round knife blades never need to leave your restaurant again!
Because the RBS-140 Round Blade Sharpening Attachment is used together with the Tormek T-2 Pro Kitchen Knife Sharpener, a minimal amount of steel is removed from your round knife blades during grinding. This gives them a longer service life – benefiting both the environment and your wallet.
Grinding your round knife blades to professional sharpness is as easy as can be with the RBS-140 Round Blade Sharpening Attachment. After mounting the blade in the accessory, fold it down onto the grinding wheel and start the machine. The accessory is designed so that your round knife blades self-rotate against the fine-grained diamond grinding wheel and are sharpened without you needing to do anything more than to start the machine. After about a minute, the blade is fully sharpened. You then remove the blade and hone it separately on the composite honing wheel to remove the burr that has formed and polish the edge to razor-sharpness (be sure to use protective gloves!). It's just as easy to do as the blade will be sharp!
